Normacol™ is a bulk forming laxative, consisting of 62% sterculia gum in a palatable granular form. Sterculia gum absorbs up to 60 times its own volume in water, approximately 6 times as much as either psyllium or methylcellulose¹ ². This fibre quickly restores normal bowel action and provides natural relief from occasional constipation.

The Normacol™ granules are placed dry on the tongue and washed down with water or any cool drink of the patient’s choice. There is no messy mixing or dissolving in liquid. The result is a very easy to use, safe laxative that encourages patient compliance. For those who prefer, Normacol™ granules can be mixed with a small amount of honey or jam followed by a drink of the patient’s choice.
