Normacol ™ is a bulk forming laxative, consisting of 62% sterculia gum in a palatable granular form. Sterculia gum absorbs up to 60 times its own volume in water, approximately 6 times as much as either psyllium or methylcellulose. Two teaspoons of Normacol ™ granules provide the dietary bulk fibre equivalent of 2 KG of fresh vegetables. This fibre quickly restores normal bowel action and provides natural relief of occasional constipation without the worry of long-term inherent in non bulk-forming laxatives.

The Normacol ™ granules are placed dry on the tongue and washed down with water or any cool drink of the patient’s choice. No messy mixing or dissolving in liquid, results in a very easy to use, safe laxative that encourages patient compliance.
