Levsin S/L^® is 0.125% hyoscyamine sulphate a sublingual format. Hyoscyamine is an anti-cholenergic that offers effective antispasmodic actions, which are particularly useful in a wide variety of gastrointestinal and urological indications. Levsin S/L^® is indicated for the management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) either alone or as adjunctive therapy. The sublingual formulation allows the tablets to dissolve in 2 1/2 minutes providing up to 4 hours of continuous relief. The lactose-free formula without barbituates allows dosing to occur every 4 hours with few to no side effects.
